An illustration for the Horror Fiction Genre Guide for NLB’s Fiction Advisory Service. Figured that Vampires = Horror genre. Makes sense, no?

Theme: Contempt by Vault9.
Blog at WordPress.com.
UPDATE: I was much encouraged by comments for my first submission to Illustration Friday that I decided to submit this as well, for the “Monster” topic (25 Mar 2006).
Wonderful work. Enjoyed your whole blog. I’ll come back.
having lain in bed with flu, mostly watching Buffy this week, I get up to find this!
excellent!
looks like hes/ shes got a bit of an over bite. wht u dont feed ur monsters. nice pic nice monster mood with the blood red streaks and the contrast od dark and lites of the face
This is really excellent. I like that the face is largely shadowed, leaving room for the imagination. I think the horrifying details a mind supplies are often scarier than seeing something concrete.
Very nice piece. Scary!
